At the moment I am fascinated by Mobile Phone development. At first I was planning to do a simple Notes application but somehow jumped in at the deep end and started developing a full mobile phone application.
My focus is Nokia Smart Phones. The Nokia / Symbian market position is currently very dominant, last quarter of 2007 saw Symbian with a 65% market share!!!!
So currently I am working on S60 i.e. Symbian, which Nokia now completely own as of 2008. I have been developing with Java ME and prototyping with Python (PyS60), but to be honest, I think the latter is a better bet, at least if obfuscation of your treasured code isn’t an issue. Anyway, don’t you all believe in open source and making money through services? Well maybe not in all situations but being an open source specialist I’d better tow the line :-)
